Between June and September every year, Buck's Trophy Lodge is the site for the finest salmon fishing available.
In June the big Kings (Chinook) start moving into the inlet and the action heats up in the latter part of the month. There are usually a lot of smaller (20 to 30 pound) feeder Kings at that time.
Around the 1st of July, Silvers (Coho) arrive and the action is hot and heavy right until September. These fish are voracious feeders and double their weight in three months.
The Kings are usually finished by early September but the big Northern Coho (up to 27 lbs) are still plentiful and are great sport on light tackle.
Halibut and many other species of bottomfish are available at any time.
Temperatures run around 50 to 80 degrees in June, July and August and cool down to 40 to 70 degrees in September.
